This sunset is permanently burned into my memory. My wife and I were at the beach all afternoon that day. What a way to end it.

33rd Independence celebration

The texture of the sea is very interesting. The boat moving in a strong diagonal makes this simple composition work.

The contrast between the dry grass and the sea was what originally attracted me to this. When I saw the speed boat coming I figure it would be a nice element.

This was taken in the earlier afternoon. A diffuser was used above the flower to diffuse the harsh direct sunlight. Camera fired remotely ( I was my own assistant/reflector holder)
