What would we do without our family? Our niece and hubby came up to spend the weekend helping us get a reno closer to being done! We stripped old carpet and varnish off the stairs some time ago; sanded them, filled holes in risers and cleaned up baseboards, taped for painting, painted risers and baseboards and after stripping wallpaper from the one wall.... painted that! Then painted the ceiling and rest of upstairs hallway. Whew!

Now all that is left to do is stain the stair treads and varathane them. Thank you Susan and Gary!

During the long, blah month of February, I am revisiting old photos. I love to see my grandbabies on my desktop every day, so here is a collage of some of my favourites.... top left - James @ 7 yrs; Lauren @ 4 yrs and bottom is Daniel @ 2 years. So sweet.......

Our Hydrangea bush was prolific this year. I managed to dry enough for this display atop the China Hutch, a bouquet for Niece Susan, and am taking another bouquet for her sister Sandra when we go north!

the colours on this bag are pretty true to form.... made this one smaller than the pattern as it will be used as a handbag. Reinforced the base with stiffening . Thank you Sanhita, for the pattern - jugglersboat.wordpress.com/2011/07/30/spikes-strike/
