A hideg téli napokon, ezek a hatalmas varjú rajok elfoglaltak minden magasabb helyet az iroda környékén, várva valami pillanatra, hogy aztán egyszerre felrebbenjenek, és elrepüljenek az éjszakába. Mikor elindulnak, az ég megtelik a szárnyas sziluettjeikkel, nem semmi látvány.

Én és a feladatlistám végre rávettük magunkat ,hogy lefotózzuk ezt a pillanatot, de türelmetlen voltam megvárni mikor maguktól felrepülnek, kellett valami, ami távozásra bírja őket.

Egy teljes erőre állított vaku, kézből elsütve, megtette a dolgát. Mire nem jó egy vaku...

During the cold winter days, this huge flock of crows sat on every possible high place around the office, waiting for some moment to set off together in the night. When they suddenly fly away, the sky fills with their winged silhouettes, a great scene to behold.

When I (and my tasklist) finally decided to take a picture of them, I was too impatient to wait for the moment they lift off, not to mention the growing darkness in dusk. I decided that they needed a small nudge, to fly, so here's some (totally unrelated) strobist info:

Yongnuo YN 560 @ 1/1 power 105mm zoom, triggered by hand, before the image was shot, to scare the bids away.

Maybe the last snowflake of the season :)

Év elején vettük ezt a művarjút, hogy elkergesse a galambokat az erkélyről. Eddig ugyan jobban szórakoztatta a járókelőket az utcán, mintsem a galambokkal foglalkozott volna. Mivel karácsony táján szokás díszíteni a házat-ablakot, az öreg varjú kapott egy kis sapit és egy díszgömböt.

Earlier this year, we've bought this artificial crow, to scare off pigeons from our balcony. While it may caused some fear in the pigeons above, it definitely caused some amusement among the pedestrians below. Since its a custom to decorate your stuff at christmas, we gave the good old crow a tiny hat and a glass sphere.

Pár hónapja kitettünk pár virágot az erkélyre, ami aztán idevonzotta ezt az apróságot egy kis uzsonnára. Sose gondoltam volna, hogy valaha lesz haszna a gépen az ilyen extra rövid záridőknek, most a szárnyak miatt jól jött. A másodperc 6400-ad részénél már láthatjuk őket szépen.

We've recently put some flowers on our balcony, those invited this guy to an afternoon snack. To capture wings, flapping with extreme speed, I had to dial to shutter speeds, that I've never imagined I'll ever use. 6400th of a second, and finally we can see those wings. That is extremely fast for a drive-in.

That's a moth by the way, known as the Hummingbird Hawk-moth.
