Kao Hsiung - Taipei travel time has been reduced from 5 hours to 1 1/2 hours with the new high-speed rail link.

This happens during Latern Festival, which is two week after Chinese New Year.

Pop. approx. 1 1/2 million, Kao Hsiung is Taiwan's largest container port.
