Webb Pierce's "Silver Dollar" Convertible by elliottzone.
At the Country Music Museum and Hall of Fame, Nashville, TN.
Honky-tonk singer Webb Pierce paid $20,000 to have this 1962 Pontiac Bonneville customized by Nudie. Among its many outlandish features are horseshoes on the gas and brake pedals, silver ornamental handguns on the door handles and elsewhere. The original custom job included more than one thousand silver dollars inlaid in the upholstery. In 1978, Pierce replaced most of the silver pieces with alloy coins.
