This was taken on one of the hottest days of the year in Oregon, 2010. We were all getting cranky hanging around the house with no AC so we decided to beat it and head for Lost Lake outside of Hood River. Due to the heat and aforementioned crankiness, Ian and I had been bickering on our walk all around the lake but once we found this great little spot and set up our hammock, got Max undressed and had a little swim, everything was perfect. It was one of my most favorite family days and I'm glad to have photos of it.

When Max was about 18 months old he went rummaging through the spice drawer and did a taste test on some hot curry powder. His face says it all.
