    Esta figura é resultado de uma experiência social, isso conta a história de uma criança com uma vida simples brincando na beira do mar, pulando nas águas quentes do Nordeste, Pipa RN. Isto mostra o movimento da alegria, simplicidade, pulando, voando e repetindo com cada vez mais entusiasmo e alegria. Esta foi a forma que eu encontrei de colaborar com aquelas crianças, capturando o melhor deles e da alegria daquele momento.

    I was walking on the beach front in Pipa (RN) when I saw those kids playing jumping in the water from a wooden peer. I immediately felt there would be really nice photos to shoot from the situation.

    I didn't want to shoot at them just like that I would feel steeling you know? So, as I am not shy and I always had a good contact with kids I started to look at them first and then talk to them. I think they were surprised that this gringo could speak Portuguese and they were curious. They turned even proud to make the best jumps ever for me :) I was showing them the pictures and they were so happy and enjoying themselves so much.

    I stayed with them almost half an hour, that was really nice.
    That's what I like... when photography turns out an interesting social experience.
    I loved it, I want this to happen more.

      I know just what you mean... is something beyond "spy photos". It's not like just shooting without being noticed. I tried to do it with some kids here on Paranoá Lake - but the photo of the photo was better than mine... check it out here: www.flickr.com/photos/ckone/1023742828/
      I guess I could accomplish that when I got the kid playing on Tuilleries... it seems that he is truly posing for me, but it was jast by chance. :-)

      In fact I think THIS is what makes me love photography, not "spy-shooting". People say that when our subjetcs know they're being photographed they act different, artificially.
      The challenge is exactly that: to find the "models" who will act naturally in front of a camera. OK, maybe they try their best jumps, but they're jumping (smth they do all the time) not posing, or pretending to be what they're not. They dreaming they're heroes. More than that. You've made them into that.

      Congrats...and last but not least this is a great shot.

      Merci jpmiss, je me suis placé stratégiquement pour avoir le soleil exactement dans le champ de la photo afin d'obtenir cet effet de contre jour et de fort contraste. C'est très intéressant de combiner le cadrage en mouvement et la gestion du contre jour.
