If you ask me "So what transforms some other boring simple records that we found on flickr into excellent photos of lasting merit?" I'll answer,"It comes down to the choice of subject and how it is being presented. The photographer must have intense curiosity, not just passing visual interest, in the name of the pictures. This curiosity leads to intense examination, reading, talking, research and many, many failed attempts over a long period of time. This one here I assume is a good example of what I've just described.
