Miss Bianchi

She refused to have me call her "ma'am." I am from the South and I can't help it. She explained that, "It makes it sound like we are not equals." She's about my late grandmother's age.

She has devoted her life or at least 30 yrs of her life to Helpers’ Bazaar at Ghiradelli's Square. The store carries name brand and couture, all donated from rich socialite of San Francisco. The proceed goes to the Helpers of the Mentally Retarded.

The shoot is for a benefit she is hosting next month. The hat is Givenchy and the dress is classic Galanos (who is now doing photography)

Update: 6/16, I received a hand written note in the mail in a calligraphy font from Joy. What a lovely treat after all, I should be the one thanking her.

@ban-den - That wall was to hide construction, I lucked out.

@largo - Handcuffs.... hahaha! no they are clear bangles, aka bracelets.

What a classic portrait. the fact that we cannot see her face only adds to the magic. Nicely done!

Extravagent bangles, or are they handcuffs? This would make a great painting - beautifully taken!

It reminds me of Breakfast at Tiffany's. Perhaps she's Holly Golightly as an old woman...? :)
