We went snowshoeing over the weekend and attempted the Rampart Ridge Trail out of Longmire in Mount Rainier National Park. We got a late start and so we had to turn back before it got too dark. I'll have to head back there again.

On my way up to snowshoeing at Longmire, WA we stopped by Sunny Beach Point on Alder Lake. There are hundreds of tree stumps in the lake and especially since the water level is slow they are even more exposed. It was kind of weird walking around there. No one was around and everything is dead and all the grass is matted down since it's winter. It kind of had an eerie feeling especially after I stumbled upon a decomposing baby deer. Yeah it was kind of gross. Anyway, the stumps are cool.

The waves were blasting over the rocks when I was taking photos of the turret down at Victoria Beach in Laguna Beach California.

I'd like to say this is a nice creek to swim and float around in but in reality, one mouthful of this water and you'd get hepatitis a,b, and c. Seagulls seem to like it though.
