2012 Leprechaun Parade & Convention
Clinton, Massachusetts // It's that time of year here in Clinton again. I haven't shot this for a while, because it's pretty much the same thing every year, but I figured it would be a perfect event for the 85mm 1.4 that I'm renting. Did I mention that I love this lens?

Homestead
Maynard, Massachusetts // Some of you have already seen this on Instagram. I'm not going to say exactly where this is, as a friend of the owner was kind enough to let me poke around the property after "catching" me there (yes, I was trespassing). I was fully prepared for an order to leave, but he was more than happy to tell me about the place. The first thing he said to me was, "not very attractive, is it." I told him, "quite the contrary, to me it is."
Apparently this is part of a 40 acre parcel that abuts both the Assabet River and the neighboring Assabet River Wildlife Refuge. The man told me that the owner's mother lived here until sometime in the 70s, and it's been sitting abandoned ever since. Apparently the owner wanted to clear the land and build a new house out here, but the town balked at it, due to its location next to the refuge. The man said it was unclear how long this stuff would remain here, and it could be cleared out any time.

March Photo Challenge, Day 7: Plant
Stow, Massachusetts // It's still technically winter here, and there is a shortage of plants, so here's a tree instead. : )
Also, I'm renting Nikon's 85mm f/1.4G for the weekend, to shoot a couple of events. This thing is niiiiiiice. But so outside my budget. : |
