Intriguing. It leads to Morley's Fried Chicken or some such?

I think it leads away from the bus stop more than to Morley's, hence the 'fanning out' at this end.

In a straight line with the other pavement.

      Amazing. Who'd have thought it?

A very good example of poor planning. Obviously a lot of people living in those flats want to go somewhere in the region of where the photo was taken.

There are rudimentary railings along the street edge of this space, and over time the section of railing at the beginning of this desire line becomes bent or broken through people climbing over it.

Periodically, the council comes along to fit a new section of railing.

It's a pity that they don't come and lay a path.

We are talking about Lambeth council. Not renowned for their collective common sense or efficiency.
