I feel like I'm starting to get the artist in me activated again, after a long time of being busy with my family. I have yet to tackle Poser Pro, but soon. I created this artwork in Second Life and processed it with Photoshop CS5 and Topaz. This is really the first time I feel like I've accomplished what I set out to do in SL; to me that says that if you have a goal or vision, keep learning and practicing and you will get closer to fulfilling your vision. I am still learning and improving in the basic tools and skills, which just means I get to learn some harder ones. Eventually, I will be able to make the art that is truly inside my heart~ and so will you if you keep at it. The times we're most discouraged are usually the times we're closest to a breakthrough!

This is why I like to create in a 3D environment! You know I like creating rooms, and being "in" it is even better than making a 2D image. I made the rose designs, created some of the furniture you see, textured most of it and arranged everything. The challenge here is the small space and resource limitations of the area. Capturing the image is also challenging, not unlike using a digital camera. I didn't quite get the lighting the way I wanted, but you get the idea. I uploaded a PNG, which I didn't know you could do on Flickr, so you get lots of clarity and I love how PNGs maintain the color profile. It looks better larger.

My granddaughter and I set this up together, which was fun (we still have to write the story ), and since I've been so long away, I decided to post this to say hello! Hope you're having a great year so far.

I hope we can all enjoy Christmas with the wide-eyed wonder of a child! May you find the true treasure of Christmas~ the Word of God born as a human baby~ the Savior of the World, and mine.

I think it's pretty cool to be able to make a wintery wonderland when I live in Florida! This is part of my winter vision, created in Second Life, which is the only kind of art creation I have time for right now~ I suppose you can relate to busy ;)) I might show you more of this later, because I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Hope you're having a great season, and not getting too stressed out!
