WHAT: Icons & Idols is an eye-popping visual homage and satire of pop culture that is sure to tickle a funny bone. This book is based on the idea that actors, population, writers, musicians and others constitute a modern mythology.
WHO: Victor Pross is a professional artist known for his “extreme caricaturing” which entails grotesque exaggeration. He has many high profile commissions to his credit including painting Ron Howard’s caricature portrait as a gift for the famous director as well as painting various agents of the William Morris Agency. He has been interviewed on many television shows and has been pegged by Canadian Media as “Canada’s foremost caricature artist.” Icons & Idols is Victor’s first book.
WHY: Icons & Idols contains Victor Pross’ painterly and penciled twits of Robert De Niro, Elvis Presley, George Bush, Sylvester Stallone, the Beatles, Marilyn Monroe, Johnny Cash and other Icons from the world of film, music and literature—all assembled under one volume to entertain! The book contains over sixty images of Victor’s most breathtaking works of art.
WHERE: You can order your copy by calling toll-free 1-888-280-7755.

A SECOND BOOK--WITH OTHER ART?
I am working on a second book besides “Icons and Idols”.
It will feature non-celebrity—non-caricature art work. The other art work I do leans towards a whacky and humorous surrealism.
I was wondering if my other art would spark interest. A rough working title for this book—consisting primarily of art work with minimal text—would be: A Culture at Large.
This drawing is called “The electronic face-plate of modern times.”
