Students protesting for freedom of speech

    Students rallying in Caracas defending freedom of speech and rejecting RCTV's closure, Venezuela's most popular TV channel and opposer of the current government.

    The day before, protests were frequently attacked by the Metropolitan Police with tear gas, water cannons and rubber bullets. Even if students returned with their hands up, were sitting on the floor, or were 25 meters away from the police barricade. That day, Many government officials called for their supporters to "come down on them and defend the revolution".
