Tie Friday #4

Where I work, Casual Friday isn't every Friday- it's just the first Friday of each month. For some reason, people take this opportunity to more than make up for the other 3 Fridays and engage in a terrible competition of who can be the most casual without offending. Too late.

I've seen everything from Crocs to basketball jerseys to backwards hats to Tommy Bahama muumuus. To say it's disappointing is an understatement. These are people who are professionals working for a giant company with tremendous brand cachet, and this is how they choose to represent themselves and the place they work?

Maybe I'm coming off elitist, or snobby. I don't think it's too much to ask to have confidence in yourself, your job, and your personal appearance.

Apparently the managers wearing mom jeans and a ratty, untucked polo don't agree.
