      are they kinda placid or rather hyperactive??

      I wish Meisie was more relaxed and allowed to pet & hug him for hours! as opposed to the usual 5 seconds!

      They are both placid and hyperactive, though it depends on their mood, of course. Simon is 16 years old--about 112 in human terms--so he's not as interested in running around as he once was. However, picking him up (in most situations) and cuddling is out of the question: he will punch you in the eye for doing that!

      Gryffin is about three years old, and enjoying running around, when he's not lounging about getting fur everywhere. He enjoys sitting on your lap, especially if you happen to have something (e.g. your laptop) there already. He sees it as an invitation to move. He doesn't like to be held, either. When you pick him up, he thinks the world is ending and starts crying. Unless you show him something interesting, and then he forgets all about it.

      Gryffin idolizes Simon, I think, and tries to be around him and play with him as often as possible. He sometimes likes to sleep in Simon's preferred spots (much to Simon's consternatation!).

      One more comment. I just realized, dumbass flickr user that I am, that Dan and I have almost no photos of our own here. Danny used flickr to receive photos from his family for a "presentation" for his sister Gail's 60th birthday last October. Ah, well. Mostly Dan's family, but what a nice group of folks.
