Would have been a great photo if it weren't for the chihuahua hair on the lens!

Not bad for my first attempt, I guess, but turns out I was going about it all wrong. I figured longer exposures, low ISO, tiny aperture... turns out I should have been more in the 250 ISO range, 1/16 to 1/200 exposure, and bigger aperture... oh well. Next time I'll give the D80 exposure delay a try as well - and maybe even some photo stacking!

My first piece! A whale tail that I made out of a small piece of polished jade that I got at a rock shop in Mexico. The hunk started out looking alot like the piece it is leaning against. It took about 4 hours total over 2 days. I've polished it, but I might need to look into a better polish - I think that is why the bigger hunk is so much darker than the tail.
