Cathedral Floor

The cathedral in Salta was a bustling place, like a post office or a butcher shop. Everyone seemed to come in with Something To Do, and did it, and crossed themselves and left again. You can apparently leave an offering for any saint you want, you can pray at the altar, go to confession, sprinkle yourself with some holy water, and I don't know what else, all on a Thursday morning! A sign over the holy water instructed patrons to not use it inappropriately, like for healing purposes (though we saw a guy sneak some onto his lower back!) or for witchcraft!
