Still fooling around with the Tamron 10-24 DX on the D700. Of course you don't get full frame coverage, but if you turn off the Auto-DX detection (and cropping) you can perfectly control this yourself by adjusting focal length (e.g. from 15mm and longer, there is full frame coverage, albeit with slight vignetting - which I don't mind :-))
