My Brother-in-law Phill, my friend Sawyer & I all packed into my Subaru and headed up Little Cottonwood Canyon, UT for some long exposure snowy night shots while he still had mostly clear skies and a full moon. To much of our dismay, the roads were mostly restricted, so we could not stop or stand anywhere. Not only that, but the snow was 12' deep in some places, so it's not like we could just go off to the side. After we ran into two coyotes near Alta, we headed back down the canyon and over to Big Cottonwood Canyon.

We decided to stick to this area because there was not much vertical terrain around us (no threat of avalanches or being hit by cars) along with an actual area that we could get out and walk around.

Fun trip, super cold. The snow at the bottom of the frame is about 5' tall off the road.

Ceilings & Coffee

Went to Sunset Coffee in Sandy Utah to study and chat with a friend. Looked up and took this with my 18mm, hand held at 0.4 seconds. BTW, their Hot Chocolate w/ Almond and Coconut is amazing.
