Haust - Vetur

Haust - Vetur

A few days ago, some snow fell on the mountains and then slowly made it's way down the hills, until it finally hit the towns. This marked the end of warm and rainy wind blowing in you ear, the end of autumn. I guess it will only be replaced with waves of the icelandic music scene and a good cap, at least until the spring will arrive.
On the other hand, the good side, I just bought myself a new screen.
It's a 23" one, with a IPS-panel, so hopefully it will be more of a pleasure to color-correct my photos. And it's sitting nicely beside my 15" laptop, with Lightroom in a dual-screen mode.
Very good.

Þingvellir

Þingvellir

Julia and me went for a camping trip into the emptiness of the Icelandic nature and ended up in Þingvellir, a national park about 40 kilometers from Reykjavík.
There were canyons all around and they were covered with this thick moss.
Quite beautiful.

We took a trip

We took a trip

15 we were, that met outside a hotel by lake Mývatn, about 100 km from Akureyri, my hometown.
8 from Linsan, the photography club from my school, 2 from FÁLMA, the photography club from MA, the other high-school/collage in town.
Halfway to Mývatn, there is a waterfall called Goðafoss. That is the waterfall you are looking at.

During the winter, part of it freezes up, creating gigantic ice-tips and this light-blue coloring under the surface.
I like it.
Large on white.

I might post some more photos from this adventure later.

Treeshaped

Treeshaped

The blending of expresso and milk formed the shape of a tree in Júlía's latté.

When she is around I feel like the light reflects in a different way, sometimes time moves slower than usual, sometimes faster.
I see a different world.

Einstein said that time and space were relative. The Beatles thought that it was all in our minds, time and space that is.
I guess that they were both right.

Large on black.
Processing is done in collaboration with Júlía.
