Secret place
Today i went to one of the most memorable abandoned places i have ever been, this place is so cool. It's a church, a school and monastery in one, even the militairy owned it for some time, It's build in 1684 and almost completely dark inside and very creepy. We lit the church with candles, shot in 3 exposures merged to HDR. Around 3 minutes of total exposure, F11, ISO 100. This is probably one of my best shots in 2006 so far. It took me about 30 minutes to get it right.

Amazing.. every part of this photo is perfect -- the composition, lighting, perspective..everything! A very thoughtful photo, makes you wonder how many people have gone through that place, how many different things the walls have seen..
Makes me want to sprint down the aisle and fly out the shining white window..

Fabulous place, excellent shot. We get to see enough details but not too much, which saves the creepiness. Amazing. So I guess you're not gonna tell us where this is?

This is the kind of HDR I really like: Closing the gap between a good camera and our eyes. Wonderful.

That is really a fantastic shot - great idea to combine the candles nad HDR.
The place looks also very interesting - seems you don*t want to tell us where it is ...?
bsidez (73 months ago | reply)
No sorry, i don't want it to be public. The place will be trashed, burned, vandalised or sprayed with graffity in no time then. I want to visit it some more times.
