eye to eye contact

eye to eye contact

We have just spent a wonderful week on the amazing Scottish island of Mull. Whilst there we went on a boat trip to see the amazing island of Staffa which we had half an hour to walk around and then we went on to another island called Lunga where these beautiful and characterful puffins can be found. These two puffins were greeting each other by tapping their beaks together, it was wonderful to watch them.

Good morning derwentwater

Good morning derwentwater

Hi all, long time no see!!

As mentioned before I just do not have time to keep on top of flickr, redbubble (shaunw) and also keep everything else going. I will be posting shots on flickr to allow my family and friends to see them but I will have little time to comment on your work but I will try my best!!

Last March one of my friends kindly let us stop in their caravan near Ullswater in the Lake District (North West England) for a few few days. When I arrived at Derwentwater on this morning it was amazingly flat with fantastic reflections, as the dawn began to break the views got better and better....

First light over penmon point

Happy New Year everyone!!

Between Christmas and the New Year we visited relatives Anglesey (north Wales). One morning I visited Penmon point at sunrise, the lighthouse and Puffin island can be seen in the top left of the shot.

Dawn sunlight on Blencathra summit

Dawn sunlight on Blencathra summit

On Tuesday my mates Gary Kenyon, Jason Connolly, Rich Gale and I went to the shores of Derwent water (Lake District, England) for sunrise. Derwent water was incredibly still producing mirror like reflections (with a hint of mist in the distance), one of the highlights for me was seeing the dawn sun hitting the top of Blencathra which is the peak on the far right of the shot.

Autumn; a time for reflection

Autumn; a time for reflection

On Saturday afternoon I went for an excellent walk through Roddlesworth wood near Blackburn. The reservoirs near the the woods were amazingly still which was just a pleasure to see.
