ha! oh this is just brilliant. :) the black and white really brings out the terrific simplicity here.
      (happy new year to you!)

    3. `yoshi (66 months ago | reply)

      love it.
hard to imagine that the two observers haven't, even briefly, imagined kissing each other.
and hard to imagine any observer of your photo not thinking as i have.

      romance, romance everywhere. `:0

yes I love the mystery of it, they are so tense, looking at the kiss. great!!

Nicely framed. A wonderful counterbalance to the image on the wall. Distance and intimacy.

    12. Lynn_EL/UnaOdd (66 months ago | reply)

      Love the contrasts in intimacy.

I am immediately pulled into this image by the wonderful triangle of the two viewers and the original photo....like others, I find myself wondering what they are thinking as they gaze at the image of the kiss...their body language is a great counterpoint to the image,....

      Ah... romance...romance.....

welch eine geschichte!! man spürt die neidvollen blicke förmlich ... und die hilflosigkeit, diese nähe selbst zu erreichen. :-)

    33. rosefirerising (66 months ago | reply)

Brilliant and perceptive. A great capture! The body language of the two viewers shows a real resistance to the object being viewed, and we (as the outside observers) can sense layers of contradictory emotional movement in the viewers. Very cool!

    34. ah zut (65 months ago | reply)

      a great capture

    35. forgetfulmare [deleted] (65 months ago | reply)

Something hard and tense about that 'kiss', or maybe it's the harshness of the B&W, (even in color, that 'kiss' would feel forced) and maybe the uneasy body language of the viewers is the result of all that ambivilence.

I already started inventing stories in my head for those two people, a couple, looking at the picture, going home afterwards and then the guy moves out of the apartment to a shabby hotel a week later.
