Una cara preciosa, chiquitita
unos ojos azules, como el mar;
la melena más linda y más bonita:
¿verdad que adivinaste, Margarita
que solo de la tuya puedo hablar?
Exhibe en tu candor tu personita
la música sonora de los vientos
el suave tornasol que resucita
la alegre primavera, Margarita,
la bella pulcritud de sus momentos.
La leve bruma de la tardecita
los rayos puros, que nos dan calor
orlando en bucles esa cabecita
tan pequeña y tan linda, Margarita,
como grande y sublime es su esplendor.
Cuando ríe, es preciosa tu boquita
y me parece, al mirarte, que las hadas
fueron todas volando a tu camita
para darte, querida Margarita,
sus bellezas etéreas, encantadas.
