Thanks Sakura & Monika :) I was surprised how many "keep" shots I was able to get but this one just stands out from the rest. I won't forget this new years in a hurry, was simply beautiful.

Great shot, I can't seem to get a look at the larger version. (damn network)

I am looking hard to find a problem with it, I would like to say that fireworks are "over photographed", but the angle here is so nice that I don't think I can say that.

I want to deduct a piont for something, Damn you and your perfect shot, but I can't bring my self to do it.

      10/10

enjoy it, I don't give out a lot of those.

Great work! One of the more unique fireworks shots I've seen. It really captures the 3-dimensional quality of the fireworks display.

An interesting angle on Fireworks, the vantage point makes it appear more like strange flowers. Exposure seems nicely done, and you've composed it nicely. Good work

Obviously not handheld!!!! Fireworks, I have found are very difficult to capture, you have done an excellent job here, especially like the traffic streaks, kinda like fireworks of a different kind.

      Kudos.

Wow, impressive. You get some great mileage out of your 30D. I just started shooting Canon this past spring and I love it. You're an inspiration.

    36. Mr Magoo ICU (68 months ago | reply)

This was actually before I purchased my 30D - this is the 300D I had beforehand. 6.3mp doesn't allow me to blow it up so big in print size but its still one of my favourite shots. Thanks torontofb - your comments are much appreciated.

Please come and join us at www.flickr.com/groups/fireworkexcellence

I have decided there is a need for a place to display Top quality firework photographs

This group will be by invitation only, all photographs will be screened by the Administators to ensure only the best shots make it into the pool.

There are thousands of Pyro shots on flickr which unfortunately swamp the really good material so it is our mission to make this a place of Excellence in Pyrotechnics
