Humboldt Penguins
Sure, boobies and Inca Terns are pretty darn cool, but the whole reason we cut other parts of our trip short in order to take a three hour boat tour of these coastal islands was to see these guys. For someone who was born and raised in the Northern Hemisphere (and who is pretty obsessed with birds), seeing penguins in the wild, not in a zoo or an aquarium, is a pretty surreal experience.
