Tipitaka Maiden Flight 2005

Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana is seen inaugurating Bangkok Airways' brand-new aircraft in the morning of March 6, 2005.

The Princess was later flown in this very aircraft with 150 patrons from Bangkok to Colombo, Sri Lanka to present an inaugural World Tipitaka, a 40-volume Pali Tipitaka edition in Roman script to the President of Sri Lanka upon a presidential invitation.

Organised entirely by private organisations and individual Tipitaka patrons both in Thailand and Sri Lanka, the Royal Pilgrimage took less than 24 hours. The Princess returned to Bangkok at 1 o' clock, local time.
