the debut of Henry (15 August 2008)
here is the BUNNEH. I am not sure if I am going to keep him, because this is basically the worst time ever for me to be attempting to bring a new pet into my already ridiculous little family (though the cats are surprisingly indifferent to him, and he to them). I'm moving in a week, I'm starting a new job, and Henry is a rescue that deserves a lot more attention than I am possibly capable of giving to him right now. I talked to his foster mom this morning and she made me feel a lot better. he came to them after being dumped outside of a DC shelter, and she told me that whatever I'm doing for him - a big cage, lots of food, outside chill time with me - is the best he's ever had. and I like him. so I'm torn.
he likes to watch DVDs with me, and pets on the ears. he does NOT like to have his feets touched, which is a problem for me bc OMG BUNNY FEETS. he's figuring out his litter box. idk. it's a toughie. besides, look at the ears!
also, sidebar, please note that I don't take this lightly, at all. both of my cats are rescues and I take adopting animals very, very seriously. if I didn't, I doubt I would be considering taking him back.

Oh he is so very very cute! I just want to give him a little pat, and I'm with you on the bunny feet :) It's great that you are actually thinking about whether you can give him the care he needs, because so many people don't give that any consideration :( He is just so. freakin'. cute! :)

Oh my goodness, I would have trouble giving him up, especially considering the cats don't mind him. What's one more animal in an already crazy life? :) Hey, maybe Henry will add some calm to your life. You know, you'll have to slow down to change his litter (hhaha, bunny litter). Well, whatever you do, you're a good egg in my books for having taken in two rescue cats.
I hope the move goes well and you settle in all cozy-like very soon! :)

Oh, he's absolutely adorable! I love the way you composed this image, too. And as a side note, I think the fact that you're only considering if you should give him back because you're not sure you could offer him the best life at the moment is an indication of how much you do care, and what a good pet parent you are. :-)

oh BUT if you are in the Maryland/DC/VA area - www.friendsofrabbits.org. That's the rescue where I got him, they are very amazing, friendly, accommodating, and helpful. They will sit for your bunny for free if you ever go out of town and will always take rabbits back, for any reason, without judgment.

@ anne-sophie - lol. he is not AT ALL into cuddling. if you feed him cilantro, though, he will stand on your feet and beg for more, and then give you a bunny kiss! :)
