New York Foundling Home

This is the new building at 590 Avenue of the Americas, constructed in 1988.

If you are a Foundling child, you likely were nursed in the older building on Third Avenue (now closed). Today, the New York Foundling Home is focused on children and families with special needs. It is staffed by professional social workers rather than the Sisters of Charity.

On the bright side, this means there are few foundlings anymore.
