Strobist info: (also see graphic in comments) lit with a single strobe (Bowens ProLite 60) placed below the subject aimed at a piece of white foam core placed behind the subject. Added a black foam core gobo on the left and right to darken the edges of the glass.

simple and elegant. neone know if it would make a big difference to the image if there was frontal flash to trigger the main flash from behind (obviously only if it was using a flash trigger)

Beautiful picture.
I used your photo to illustrate a blog post about 'Das Maifest' at the Columbus Maennerchor the 6th annual spring wine festival for an arts group in Columbus Ohio that's been around since 1848.
The photo will be passing for a Riesling or other German wine rather than a Chardonnet unless they come to investigate. Thanks for licensing it with a CC license.
