Yeah... now we know why they and the media-elite are attacking her so unprecedentedly... they are AFRAID of her. She did not just come up to her first at-bat and get a hit, she got a Grand Slam!

Umm... I wouldn't get too excited about her...

There's photos and video of her with Ted Stevens, defending the "Bridge To Nowhere", thanking her church for ignoring God's will, and recorded phone conversations of her Security Admin. official doing her bidding to get her brother in law fired...

It's all available with some simple Google searches.

I think we want an experienced adult, not a pitbull in lipstick.

Wow, have you checked any of her facts? How she's cut funding for families with special needs children in Alaska, how she was for the bridge to nowhere before she was against it, and on and on, how she became the mayor of that tiny little town that had no debt when she got there, hired a lobbyist to go to D.C. and lobby for pork just for her town and she still managed to leave the town millions in debt when she was done... or how she tried to fire the librarian because she refused to remove books that Palin found offensive... oh and that she's under investigation on corruption charges?

do a little research, google is a great thing.

Hey Kier, don't believe everything you read, ok? Nice try but you might want to consider the source BEFORE you go believing any old thing. The leftist websites will OF COURSE be trying to slander her (but you know that don't you)....

Yep - here is an example of how an 'open mind' works. This may be hard to believe, but facts are facts, and if you would indeed go looking and perhaps even thinking for yourself, you'd see that simply raising questions about Palin does not make the source "leftist". I doubt some even really know what that means.

Never mind... there really isn't one to appeal to here anyway.

Get over yourselves. She opposed the bridge to nowhere in the long run. And everyone knows Obama has changed his mind. Dont even start on ethics.
Announcing false facts as truths about a republican in a bit leftist.
And bringing up her daughter being pregnant because of her educational beliefs is ridiculous. 9 girls were pregnant in the local high school in my hometown and they only teach protection, so that doesnt work either!

sorry to say. but this woman is just plain scary.
    ban books?
    god this god that.
couldn't they find anyone who is remotely educated, realistic and experienced?
sorry to ditch her in front of you supporters but this is just unreal.

  23. *cHARLIe 2112(^:* (45 months ago | reply)

Stay away from the far left websites pinkie. The book ban thing is a bunch of shit (of course). The left is PETRIFIED of this woman and for good reason ~ For two weeks, Democrats and their media allies have leveled scorching fire at Sarah Palin. It's not having much effect, but they keep at it anyway.

Why do Democrats feel so threatened? They've even stopped attacking McCain and President Bush to launch a vicious and sexist barrage at her that would normally make a feminist angry and a Democrat blush.

Basically, it's this: John McCain only endangers Democratic chances of victory this November, but Sarah Palin is an existential threat to the Democratic Party.

She threatens a core element of the party's base - women

When an African-American like Clarence Thomas, Colin Powell or Condi Rice rises to prominence as a Republican, he or she endangers the Democratic coalition. So would a Republican labor leader.

And so, above all, does the woman Republican running for vice president.

Democrats can't stomach seeing the feminist movement's impetus for greater female political participation and empowerment "hijacked" by a pro-life woman who espouses traditional values. They must obliterate her, lest her popularity eat away at their party's core.

So the Democrats are hysterical in their attacks on her. South Carolina's Democratic Party chairwoman, Carol Fowler (wife of a national party chairman), said that the only qualification Palin had for vice president was that she hadn't had an abortion. Tabloids are digging up dirt on Palin's children. And liberal bloggers have suggested that Palin would neglect her children if she were elected (while the Democratic candidate has young children at home, too).

That liberals would resort to such blatant sexism shows their desperation.

She's not popular because she's a radical feminist or pro-choice advocate. It's because she understands what it's like to be a woman in 21st century America.

She's never ascended to the elite, so she doesn't need to stoop to conquer as most well-heeled feminist leaders must. She lives far from the plastic pseudoreality where a fossilized ideology substitutes for human compassion and empathy. As such, she rises above the slogans of both the left and the right and proposes to bring to Washington a dose of reality - a taste of real life.

She may become the first woman in national office - yet the Democrats, feminists and liberals can't control her, and that burns them up.

Elections come and go, but Palin is a far more fundamental threat to the Democratic Party. And that's why they fear her so.

Personally I prefer a candidate who believes in God. It makes them more accountable.

  24. pinkcigarette (45 months ago | reply)

    ok. a follow up question.
    do you believe in dinosaurs?

  25. *cHARLIe 2112(^:* (45 months ago | reply)

Of course I do. It's FACT!
I have heard from other lib's that Palin does not but I have never heard that from Palin so I don't believe it. Consider your source PinkCig, ok? Just because they say it about her doesn't make it true. They have a vested interest in smearing her (obviously).
Just because someone believes in God doesn't mean they don't believe in science.

  26. Aesthete1 (45 months ago | reply)

I fear her not for some sexist reasons (wtf?) but because of what she has said and her facility with lies (although that is common with most politicians but once they are caught they usually don't continue). I don't think creationism should be held on the same level as evolution (why not teach all religions and theories of creation like scientology, romulus and remus, and Mayan beliefs). She is backwards thinking (creationism and seeing the war as some kind mandate from God, i.e. jihad). She did not know what the vice president did (although most elementary students can tell you). Her speeches have said little (if that much) on her political philosophies (only attacking Obama with her opinions). There is no smearing only presentation of actual quotes and actions (so many filmed). Republicans should get off this weird tragectory of pushing extremist views and coopting rhetoric like change. They should focus on standing up of basic liberties and protecting the constitution. Ron Paul would have been leagues better than Palin.

  27. Wayne1961 [deleted] (45 months ago | reply)

    Hey the_real_cjs,
I'd say we're on pretty solid ground when it comes to what we believe in. We conservatives believe in God. What do liberals believe in? "Global warming"! There's more evidence supporting the existence of the Easter Bunny and Cap'n Crunch than there is for "global warming". But it don't matter none because they'll blissfully lap up any half-baked crock of quasi-scientific dung that Al Gore can regurgitate up for them.

  28. DeLitta (45 months ago | reply)

Evidence shows that temperatures have increased rapidly year to year since the 70's than that of 1940-1970 and have hit record breaking highs repeatedly over the past couple of years. Not to mention the onslaught of hurricanes. This has nothing to do with politics or religion. To ignore these facts is just plain ignorant.

  29. Wayne1961 [deleted] (45 months ago | reply)

"Evidence"? "Record breaking"? How far in the past of this 4.6 billion year old planet do your "records" go. About 150 maybe? Periods of extreme heat followed by ice ages and everything in between for that 4.6 billion year period and because the temps have shown a degree or two upswing over the space of a century or so and you think we have "global warming".
You are an uneducated--or at least terribly naive--fool.

  30. Mr Burlesk [deleted] (44 months ago | reply)

She's not just Democrats worst nightmare, she's any THINKING PERSON'S WORST NIGHTMARE. Look at that open mouth -- she is so frickin' SCARY!!!! Reckless, indignant, rude, condescending, backwards-thinking, willing to ban books (just like Hitler!), guilty of cronyism, uninformed, misinformed, unwilling to come forth with answers to very direct and reasonable questions, the horrendous list of ugliness goes on and on... What's this nasty, pernicious woman got to hide? Seems like PLENTY and "Troopergate" will be her Waterloo. If this Medusa is the best McPain can do for a VP running mate he should lose -- miserably, and polls show he will. Failin is a glamorous attack dog who has no business representing MY America. She's NOT like me; she's not like anyone I know or would even associate with. She's the #1 reason McPain is losing the race due to her vicious and pernicious lies (McPain even had to recant her statements!) and the ol' geezer doesn't hunker down and get Debbi Fields the luvable cookie monster to take Sarah's place as VP running mate his career in politics is sure to be over for good. He won't have just lost a race, he'll have lost all credibility. He's already lost his mind.

But imagine a world with Palin as the leader of our people. Can you? Really? Her yelling her head off with a "I do what I want!" attitude when meeting with foreign powers? I guarantee she'd BE The Tribulation, and you can bet she's eyeing one of those presidential jets to take her and all her cronies to Israel so they can be swept up into La-la land by Jesus when he comes to smite the rest of us.

Scarley darling, Obama doesn't "hang out" with people who blow up things. That's George W who was in bed with the Osama Bin Ladens. Or don't you remember the lessons we learned in Farenheit 911? And in this world of six-degrees-of-separation you and I both have associated with people whose shady backgrounds we know nothing about. You wanna point fingers? Let's point fingers at McCain and his Keating Five connection. Let's talk about Palin's attempts to ban books, cronyism, intimidation of workers who won't cow-tow to her BS. The bitch abuses power and takes credit for stuff only AFTER it's proven to be successful, or ditches stuff she signed on for only after her position is shown to be glaringly unpopular. She's Karl Rove in a dress. BE VERY VERY AFRAID.

You cannot argue with the willingly ignorant, and anyone who is excited about Palin falls squarely into that bracket -- this is an opinion shared by intelligent people on both the left and the right. They (the willingly ignorant extreme right) will brush aside any criticism as "leftist", no matter where it comes from, no matter how unbiased the presentation.

Those of you arguing here would make better use of your time actually helping the campaign of your choice and educating yourselves about the people you're supporting, rather than arguing here where it will make absolutely no difference.

  38. *cHARLIe 2112(^:* (44 months ago | reply)

You don't seem to remember that McCain is the nominee, lol!

    Obama is OPENLY a socialist!

  41. Mr Burlesk [deleted] (44 months ago | reply)

Oh brother...now we're hearing the wingnuts screaming "SOCIALIST!" about Obama and I really have to wonder if these are the same people who would have yelled "WITCH!" 300 years ago.

Frankly, I would welcome a bit more fairness in America, even if it did embrace some of the tenets of socialism. For the past 8 years the rich get richer, the poor get poorer and the majority of Americans out there turning out to show their support for Obama demonstrate to me how unpopular capitalism is when it only benefits those in the higher income brackets.

On the other hand, how interesting that Obama has garnered so much financial support. If he were such a "socialist" as the wingnuts keep yelling (pitchforks in hand) how could he ever have gotten THIS far?

Obama is OK with me. Palin is an intellectual liability for Alaska let alone the US government. The world is mocking her and I would prefer to have a president I can be proud of. So Obama is a bit green, BFD. Biden and the rest will buoy him up. And Colin Powell is likely to endorse Obama on Sunday, Oct, 19th anyway. Try to get around THAT one, all o'youze "socialist" criers.

Whereas, McCain seems to demonstrate arrogance, indignance, intolerance, and has supported 90% of Bush's failed policies for the last 8 years. That's something I'm not willing to overlook. Folks who say I shouldn't be looking so hard at Palin forget that McCain has questionable health issues, and seems like he'll blow up at any moment once he's riled. I don't want a president who expires a year into term only to leave us in the nail polished claws of a SECESSIONIST masquerading as a republican.

It's time for change. Not just a little change...A BIG BIG BIG change.

  42. Mr Burlesk [deleted] (44 months ago | reply)

I like how the HOUSTON CHRONICLE put it:

Perhaps the worst mistake McCain made in his campaign for the White House was the choice of the inexperienced and inflammatory Palin as his vice-presidential running mate. Had he selected a moderate, experienced Republican lawmaker such as Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison with a strong appeal to independents, the Chronicle's choice for an endorsement would have been far more difficult.

Well said. The paper has NOT endorsed John McCain for President. Guess who they picked instead?

  43. Mr Burlesk [deleted] (44 months ago | reply)

    www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27265369/

Colin Powell endorses OBAMA and guardedly refers to Palin as inadequate. If that isn't a political shot to the head, I dunno what is.

    NYAAAA NYAAAAA....

    (sorry, I just couldn't resist.)

Enjoy the article. Maybe the ultra right wingers might wanna rethink their standpoints and become a weeeee bit more tolerant now. Or go live in Alaska with Sarah & Todd Palin where your narrowminded and intolerant views will be more than welcome.

  44. *cHARLIe 2112(^:* (44 months ago | reply)

Obama has ZERO executive experience. That's undeniable Tony. This election is between McCain and Obama --- NOT Palin and Obama. The election of Obama will embolden our enemies. Palin is NOT running for president bud....

  45. Mr Burlesk [deleted] (44 months ago | reply)

Tell that to Colin Powell who made a point of saying the VPs "JOB" is to step in and become president at any time, and HE feels she's not qualified.

Don't conservatives trust their own experts any more, or do you guys just throw people under the bus when they don't agree with you, regardless of their outstanding credentials and qualifications to make such statements?

Colin Powell endorsed Obama. Not just reluctantly, but HEARTILY.

Are we now going to hear smears of Powell that he voted his skin color or is in-the-tank for Arabs?

    BARFFF!!!

  46. *cHARLIe 2112(^:* (44 months ago | reply)

I believe Powell did endorse because of skin color. What other real reason could there be?...Hell Palin is more qualified than Obama is and she's not even running for pres! What qualification does Obama have? He has NONE at all! What qualifies him; --- his acorn affiliations as an "organizer"? His 100 days as a senator? His one speech in 2004? Lol that's laughable!
Think about this (and you know it's true): would obama be where he is today if he were white? The answer to that is HELL NO. Hillary Clinton would have easily beaten a rookie senator who had no voting record to speak of and had so many radical extremist affiliations if the guy was white! You know it's true.
