first we were told for years that without "several major medical miracles occurring all at once", we'd never have children
then his older brother was born in February 2004
next we were told that I was having a miscarriage at six weeks along and to "wait for it"
then we saw his heartbeat for the first time two weeks later
every child is a miracle - we just try to find the beauty in ours daily because we remember all too well what life was like before the sun started shining

Ooooh -- that's a good idea! Thanks! We've also thought about making it a backup for next year's card (as most of our card-list isn't on Flickr), since I'll have TWO toddlers next Christmas. Oy.

I know it's not really the season anymore, but during the season I just couldn't take cards any more. That doesn't mean I didn't think it was one of the best I've ever seen.
