Carmen came home 8 years ago, today. No better way to celebrate than a romp in the snow and a private snack in the kitchen. This weekend is actually C-doggie weekend (I signed the adoption papers 8 years ago, Saturday), but really, almost every day is C-doggie day. :) Shot in low light, and a bit of a technical mess, but something cheerful to mark her day.

More like C-doggie weekend. Eight years ago Saturday, I signed her adoption papers. Today is the day she came home. This is one of our favorite walks, which we hadn't done for quite awhile. She pulled us off the path to grab a stick and settled down in a nest of grass to chew it, the same spot we used to stop years ago. She looks a little pissed off, but the wind is blowing pretty hard here. I wish you could hear the surf crashing. Happy C-doggie Day!

I was feeling lazy about dealing with the chromatic aberration in the previous shots, which is part of why I converted to bw. There was quite a difference in the contrast and blacks when I uploaded to Flickr, more than I'd seen before. Anyway, here's color, with ca still intact. :)
