hello lifers!
the Cahuenga Peak (left of the hollywood sign) is endangered, it is for sale and if the Trust for Public Land cannot buy it for $12.5 millions (outrageous!), luxury homes will be built on it and ruin the sight of the Hollywood sign! whereas if the TPL can buy it, it will be part of the Griffith Park!!
SO....there is a tee shirt design contest to raise awareness about the issue.
i participated to the contest (my last entry in this pool) and would love your support - your votes!
on March 5ht, a jury will elect the winner among the 3 designs with the most votes.

for this one, my concept is a movie shot.
i want to make people feel as if they are watching a movie
until they realize it is one in which they can play the lead role.
and it's not a wrap until April 14th!

i thought a movie poster would be an adequate concept to raise awareness
about the endangered Hollywood sign.

the threatening shadow represents the real estate that will be neighboring the sign
if the Trust for Public Land and us all together don't manage raising $12.5 millions
by April 14th.

the tree on the left is what people call the 'magic tree', it is a pine tree standing alone
on the peak of Mount Cahuenga and that has been spared by the fires a few years back.

the tag line in the sky is a reference to another Hollywood classic "Gone with the wind". in the movie, as he is leaving, Rhett Butler tells Scarlett Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn.
so here, i DO give a damn.
