it doesn't seem to look real, more like a pattern on a net curtain ;)

Isn't that amazing?! I've seen this sort of shape before, but not so pretty and well defined. Well done! I always wonder and marvel at how frost patterns grow.

This is an excellent observation of wintery ice patterns, very artistic in presentation, very well done !

      thanks all.

Re the frost formation, this window is over my kitchen sink and even on very cold days does warm up a little. The round shapes were water droplets from the latest thaw. Then they freeze and the frost patterns grow from them. So basically they are frozen water drops with frost patterns.

      Frosted fingerprints? Nicely composed

    25. withrow (33 months ago | reply)

AJ Baxter --- not fingerprints -- but water-drops. When the frost began to melt there were droplets on the glass-- these then re-froze. I have several frost images similarly formed.
