Ki Monastery

Ki Monastery

A magical monastery in Spiti Valley over 800 years old, comes under the Gelupa sect. We met with the head of the Monastery, the 19th incarnation of the founder at the Royal Cottage when we went over to see the Princesses of Spiti Valley.

Our drive through the valleys

Our drive through the valleys

Wild horses graze... Sheep dogs chase the herd and mountain goats on these treacherous steep mountain slopes. Every moment is a scene worth capturing and remembering. I kept my eyes wide open filming every scene with the camera of my mind.

Walk into the sunset

Walk into the sunset

Lavender buds adds fragrance to the scenic snow clad mountain view... They walk into the sunset, not a Starbucks in sight. God bless them!

Shepherd Sherpa

Shepherd Sherpa

First I smiled at the Sherpa Shepherd, wanting him to know I meant no harm, I was only meaning to shoot him. CLICK!!! I fired. He was still. It was a great moment. I moved in close, and I could feel the dust flying around me, his sheep were restless. They were not new to a camera it seemed. In fact, I felt they loved it. So I had to pull back and change my lens to a wide angle.
