If you've just seen my last posting of this winding road you'll realise it's quite long.. the guy in picture virtually pushed the struggling car with it's lady driver all the way up the hill.. you can see it's zig zag tracks as it tries to get out of the way of the gritting lorry... even when the lorry had gone by the guy had to keep on pushing... they made it in the end :-)

The winding road looked really good, especially when we were lower down, unfortunately rain was hampering any attempts of photo's in that direction, even this shot my filter was slightly misted up with the damp. On our return journey it was a different sight, covered in snow with motorists struggling to get up it. :-)

Does this road / pass have a name ?

As we dropped down from Mam Tor the snow could be seen drifting across the land in front of us... wonderful weather :-)

... when you know you have to put the camera away. As I turned my back on the driving snow this scene was in front of me, a last shot before the camera went into it's bag, and only seconds before our world went grey. Somewhere over there is Castleton :-)
