I was really impressed with this hand done painting on craft paper, although I don't know what it's about. The brown color is the unpainted paper. At first glance I thought it looked like black American with doo-rags since this spot usually has music & movie posters; then I thought it resembled the style of Ethiopian icons of Christian Orthodox art, but finally I saw the Spanish writing and realized they had hardhats and worker vests. Very curious. Sadly, it was all blacked-out soon after.

So was this a one-time poster? Or something that was printed? It does resemble a certain kind of Christian religious art, though, you're right.

It wasn't printed, it was hand painted, so I assume it was one of a kind. I'd be curious to know if anyone else has seen others around.

This has the look and style of political graffiti in Chile circa 1960-70s.

I figured it was intended to look like a traditional style. I like it.
