Is this a Jacob's Ladder purgatory resident portait?

I'm sorry. Is that from looking at my pictures?
-voted as "deleteme" (from Deleteme! group)
alphadesigner (68 months ago | reply)
gdiaz, I have a more joyful attitude towards it, the guy above is actually happy he can share his gift with other people. Especially with Theresa.

too abstract. too burnt out.

nice processing, but his head shouldn't be blown out (ouch!), shouldn't be cut off (ouch too) as his right shoulder shouldn't be cut off as well.
i like it (and i would save it) but it has too many flaws and - unlike Marylin's one - they don't add a good feeling.

bring it back
deleteme5 (I put 4, b4)
(you knew somebody would do that joke, right?)
there are too much parts touching the border, which doesn't help at all...
alphadesigner (68 months ago | reply)
Scampo, you mean Marilyn, right? Well, I know it looks like it's cut off, but it actually isn't. See my tags - do you see "image manipulation"? :) It is pure photography, but this time it looks like it isn't, right? :) Can't blame you, I would have said the same.
Yep, РАИ, I was expecting it.

err... i loved (physically) her and she whisperd in my eary a litte secret about her name ;)
alphadesigner (68 months ago | reply)
Buh, I thought you had this in mind:
Now did you love her (physically) or not? :)
lj_scampo (68 months ago | reply)
she looks finer then she is feeling (i'm sure it is... was a question of famousness)
Frederic Poirot (68 months ago | reply)
i love the dynamism, unusual motion grain. Reinforce the angry feeling. I think Sandman as well
saveme2
hedgiecc (68 months ago | reply)
Very powerful. I love the contrast, tones, and composition - the suggestions above would just weaken it. Strong stuff. Sadly it's unlikely to get 10 saves from this crowd: but nevermind, your pretty fossils were a hit!
voted saveme 3
alphadesigner (68 months ago | reply)
LOL hedgie, the fossils were too sugary to be ignored. This is more rough. It's more me without the make up.
Fred: Thanks!

The movement here- not just of the figure but of every little bit of texture, is really compelling.

just a touch out of focus.

www: :-)
Nice, but I think it's a bit too tightly cropped top and left, also would have been good if something had been in focus, even just a small detail. Aaaaand, find the head too blown out. The whites that is, not in a violent way.

Like Hourman, I feel the image is compelling. It compels me to delete it.

It seems due to the curve of the earth, I am often asleep when you post pics. Shame as I would have saved this. Very nice.
Definately a fave.
alphadesigner (68 months ago | reply)
You seem to be awake for the ones you want to delete. :) Anyway, thank you. I'm thrilled!
This image has 10 legitimate deleteme votes, so I am removing it from the pool, because Jim is obviously too lazy. Summary time:
1. Six saves and four faves. That's pretty awesome for a salty ikea-phobic jump-n-prance black and white photo.
2. Marilyn Manson's spiritual input decoded (typo ignored). Unexpected.
3. Eowyn couldn't delete it. Again!
4. Two admins almost in conversation with each other.
5. Not in Explore.
I call that huge success, don't you agree?

What tha ****??? You delated an amazing photo man, and you know it. Get away from them (self contained in their small crops)!
Though, I do addmit it's fun. Especially your comments!
alphadesigner (67 months ago | reply)
I don't think they know it's an amazing photo. :);) All they know is that if they discuss the "crop" that would make them look more "intellectual". Some of them can't recognize a real photograph from what they call "graphic design" and they take the whole voting stuff too seriously. They even saved one of my kitschy pics, just because it looked flashy. ;)
But I'm not bitter. This went 10:6 and I predicted 10:0. :))

and the picture is out of focus, no colors as well indeed.

I'm sorry, you misunderstood - I am not offering you the regular junk food. Here in the Balkans we still have those natural foods that you call "bio" as if they grow only in laboratories. My grandmother is the greatest bio specialist, she runs an enterprise called Helena Incorporated and produces an enormous amount of tomatoes and peppers every year. And they don't smell like ham. :) People don't get fat from home cooked meal, so you shouldn't deny the pleasures of the flesh that easily. :)
Yield to it!

Gotta be my favorite, I don't understand scampos early comments at all. Is he talking about a different piece of work?

you can't break into a chat between old dm-friends and estimate to understand ad hoc the meat of it ;)
alphadesigner (65 months ago | reply)
But you can get ad hook the vegetable of it, right scampi?
lj_scampo (65 months ago | reply)
i got it on my hook
