The lack of firewood and construction has forced Icelandics to bury their farms and to shrink the windows size. Today transformed into eco-museum, these six houses speak volumes about the lives of Icelanders in the early twentieth century. They are located north-east of the country, on the 75 way, a few kilometers or miles of the Snaesfellsnes peninsula.
