I did a series of these shots a while back, and I still have the dried leaves, petals, flowers I used on top of the light box with fill flash from above.

So I revisited for March's Amateur Photographer forum comp and this is the result. The theme is still life.

• Objects arranged/Still life
Big or small, arrange a collection of objects that are somehow related and which perhaps tell a bit of a story. The objects are important, but remember it’s the light that will make it a really good shot

Shot from a boat on Lake Windermere. Entered for round 1 of the 2012 APOY.

Massively fierce competition, so chances are it'll get no where near the top 50, but it's an entry at least.

This month's Amateur Photographer forum comp theme is "Lone Tree", I've been playing about with a few shots, but I really haven't found anything I really like. For such a simple theme it's difficult to find a shot that really works well.
