What greeted me after a dance lesson
I had a dance lesson at the Fred Astaire studio, which ended around 7:15 p.m. I left the studio a few minutes later and was greeted by this sunset, which actually was a little more spectacular than this at the moment. But I rushed home to grab my camera, then drove over to nearby Hoopes Park to take some pictures. This was among the results of that effort.

Well worth the effort. Great photo. I love this composition with the silhouette but especially the colors. I like the ominous darkening cloud in the upper right. Seen in My Contacts

Thanks! I'm glad I was able to capture this sunset before it disappeared completely, which happened a few minutes after I took this picture.

Fun that we both got the same sunset, likely minutes apart and 30 miles apart! Thanks for your comment and links on my photo so I could see yours. I have about 15 different shots from that evening that all look different because of the rapid changes of the monsoon clouds. I've got one up now and the next late tonight or tomorrow. The rest may have to wait for a week or so till I catch my breath from so many pressing family issues right now. The NERVE of real life to get in the way of our passions, ha ha!

That's right! And as I have been saying, what's more important, moving -- or photography? (I made a similar point last night with Angie, who gave me the dance lesson I referred to in the title and description of this photo: What's more important, moving -- or dance?) Yes, real life shouldn't get in the way of the important stuff, at least not to excess. :-)

Great sunset and nicely done. I'm amazed at the Arizona sunsets and will be seeing them in person soon. You have a nice collection of pics on here.
