Taken on Thanksgiving Day, 2005. We spent the day with my wife's cousin and her family in Goodyear, Arizona, west of Phoenix. I took several pictures at sunset, including a series of a lone saguaro cactus against this backdrop. I suppose any one of them would have been as good as any other, but this is the one I elected to post to Flickr.

@vickimouse: Well, come on over sometime. We can get together with some local Flickrites and go take lots of pictures. Trying to find beautiful scenery in Arizona is like following a lighted fuse in search of an explosion: one neither has to wait very long nor make much of an effort.
