Mountain at sunset
I wanted to upload a picture one night and found this one in my archives. It was taken near Saguaro Lake, in the Tonto National Forest north of Mesa, Arizona. This image is essentially what the camera and I both saw that evening. Apart from lightening the shadows a bit and minor adjustments in contrast, I did not edit this photo in any way before posting it. This was one of the more dramatic examples I've seen of the effects of late-afternoon light.
This one is definitely best viewed large!

Yes, we sure did, didn't we? And I just sort of stumbled onto this one while browsing around on my computer, because I wanted to upload something and hadn't taken any new pictures for a few days. This one made Explore, although I don't know if it is still there as I write this.
