04.12.10 {potting shed skirt}
Another blue skirt... I know! lol. This is my what? Third one in recent weeks (obsessed much)? haha! Anyway, this skirt was based on a picture from a 1947 McCalls pattern book in my collection. I really liked the gathers and big pockets. I used a mid 40s Hollywood skirt pattern as a base (with adjustments of course), and added a new waistband and pockets. The fabric is a medium weight linen (so yummy to wear now that the weather is warming up!). I'm pretty pleased with how it came out!
