In the midst of a busy day, I saw this sunset beginning to form after the clouds began to part at the end of an overcast day. My dog and I ran to get into position at a wetlands lake with a mad, little scramble. Ah... it was worth the rush!

On land once farmed by my ancestors, I found this old storage room. Have a great weekend, my friends!

I'm apprehensive about this post. My dog Captain and I walked out onto a sandbar in a remote section of our late to find the remains of this dead stag. The drought here continues into 2012.

There has been a great deal of attention to a reported 5 Snowy Owls which are rare for this area. There are often small groups of photographers who meet at this spillway to enjoy and photograph the sunset. On this evening, the little crowd was swelled by those arriving who expected to see the owls. Unfortunately, nobody told the owls who failed to make an appearance on cue!
