Nothing prepares you for how you will feel when you lose someone close. It's overwhelming at times, dealing with the emotional and the legal aspects at once. I did the self-portrait as an escape from the heaviness. It's something else to think about, something else to do, a way to enjoy a small part of a difficult day. The escaped fugitive reflects this desire.

Thanks. It helps me during this time to keep things as normal as possible. This is the kind of silliness I get up to when I'm normally bored so I thought why not give myself a chance to be me for ten minutes and try to make some art. I had to run up and down those stairs about 10 times to get what I was after. I'm glad you like it.
