Went to Canon Hill Park to get some fresh air for myself and my son. Lots of families out with bread for the ducks. Everyone was wrapped up snug against the cold. The ponds had frozen over but not completely. I wondered if their feet get cold?

Great colours during a reflected sunset in Edgbaston

Went to Hanbury Hall near Droitwich Spa, a short drive down the M5 from Birmingham. A friendly National Trust House with an 18th century formal garden. Just outside the main entrance of the house there was a stone plinth with a large number of pumpkins on it. The low Autumn sun, even at midday made it a colourful and picturesque sight. Couldn't see Charlie Brown anywhere though.

Went to the monthly farmers market in Moseley, Birmingham yesterday with wife and baby. Usual stalls were there as were the crafts fair stalls this time. One stall was covered with flowers which the stall holder created a bouquet from. She said, with some justification I think, that they had a '50s feel to them. I bought some for aforementioned wife.
